Retreat and Recharge in Ithaca, Greece
4th - 11th October 2025
Itha108 is one of the top Retreat Destinations in Europe
A transformational retreat in mythical Ithaca, beautiful Greece
Each day we’ll practice Yoga or Pilates movement designed to create a sense of freedom in the body, and meditation and pranayama for the mind.
And under the night’s sky, we’ll relax into yoga Nidra as we prepare for deep sleep.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to recalibrate and recharge at a profound level.
The retreat will be your time to clear deep-rooted patterns of tension and to nourish both body and psyche through movement and breath. You’ll also have time to roam the island, swim in the beautiful waters and let the island simply take your cares away.
Ithaca, home of Itha108, is one of the smallest in the Ionian island constellation, and it radiates Grecian authenticity.
It’s shores play host to a long Homeric and mythical history whose many mysteries are sensed amongst animated panorama and secretive coves. Itha108 overlooks the sea and the eastern coastline of neighbouring Kefalonia from an elevated wilderness of olive trees and exposed rocks that provide the elements around which it is built, allowing its natural beauty to speak for itself. An emphasis on indoor-outdoor living ensures full use of the land and its treasures that extend to sweeping and hidden beaches below.
Section Styles reverse-first-row
Our theme for the week will be freedom, what is freedom and what does it mean for you?
We will start the week by slowly easing out tension and use resistance bands to help release the fascia and improve overall mobility without creating any pressure in the joints.
We'll also use Chi balls to ease out the neck and lower back. They are wonderful at improving the sense of fluidity within the muscular structure. We will look at alignment and encourage the body to strengthen with natural movement, yoga and pilates as the week progresses.
With gentleness and an understanding and respect for our own unique body, mind and breath we will be seeking to rejuvenate and refresh. Food will be nourishing, so we feel fresh both inside and out.All of the above, combined with the saltiness of the sea, the sweetness of the air and Ithaca’s rich history will nurture our souls."
Daily movement sessions held by Alex
We will practice, Yoga, Pilates and Yoga Nidra. All of the practises are designed to create release and relaxation in the body and mind. This is an open space which means you can do as much or as little as you wish.
Swim in the ocean, the infinity pool or enjoy a therapeutic massage to relax.
We are a 5/10 minute walk away from two quite almost private beaches. The swimming is sublime, the water clear and the coves are perfect to wonder down to.
Massage treatments are also available and are the perfect compliment to your retreat.
Dine on mediterranean cuisine with a wonderful view of Kefalonia.
Food and vitality go hand in hand here. You’ll find wonderful fresh produce from the island and local islands on the table, it’s exquisite. The food is healthy, predominantly vegetarian but fish is offered once or twice a week if you so desire. Please do let us know any dietary requirements in advance.

The venue looks down over the sea, it's spacious and well put together. The accommodation was most liked with nice touches and comfortable beds. The food was great and doing Yoga on the deck was sublime.

Alex was amazing and invested in giving each guest a relevant and personal experience. The location was stunning. Going on the boat trip was a great way to see more and interact with the environment.

I had the most gorgeous and peaceful time at Alex’s yoga retreat at Ithica108. The venue itself is absolutely amazing, with the most beautiful views across the sea. The infinity pool was a particular highlight! The food on the retreat was delicious and plentiful. As a vegan, I was catered for exceptionally well. I stayed in the yurt, which I loved. It was really luxurious and beautifully and creatively designed and crafted.
The yoga and meditation was perfect. We practiced outside every morning and evening. Alex’s teaching is fully inclusive for all bodies and mobilities. Just right for absolute beginners but also for those who practice regularly. Alex expertly weaves breathwork, pilates and meditation into the classes. Every evening after dinner, Alex led a yoga nidra class, which was the ideal way to wind down for sleep. Throughout the week I felt a sense of calmness, peace and of really slowing down which was exactly what I was hoping for.
The island itself is stunning, there are 2 beautiful beaches less than 5 minutes walk from Ithica108. The water is crystal clear for swimming and the beaches were almost empty.
This was my second retreat with Alex, and I will 100% be booking another. D Collinge

If you need somewhere to relax, recalibrate, restore and rejuvenate then do not hesitate. Alex’s patience, kindness and wisdom shines through every moment of the retreat. I have never done anything like this before, would wholeheartedly recommend it and would absolutely do it again without question. With gentle encouragement and a hands on approach (if welcomed), Alex will guide you through your practice whether you regularly practice or are a total beginner.
Ithaca is the most stunningly beautiful, peaceful place with crystal clear waters. There are 2 beaches within walking distance pretty much to yourself to choose from. As well as the infinity pool, there are also many other quiet spots you can escape to relax and reflect. The yoga deck where we did most of our practice is perfectly placed for ultimate peace and relaxation.
My room was perfectly peaceful and comfortable with a terrace overlooking the sea. As for the food, it was utterly divine and plentiful. Whether you come alone, with a friend or loved one you feel at home - just a very, very beautiful one where the only decisions you will have to make is whether to go back for second helpings and which vista to settle yourself into. There are two private beaches a small walk away. They feel private, although they are not as no beaches are private in Greece. The walk down is down a little track hence it feels remote.

“I have known and practiced with Alex for years so was delighted when she decided to run the retreat in Ithaca. It didn’t disappoint. The venue is stunning and having the place to ourselves was wonderful. Alex found a great group of people and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly from the beginning. The teaching as always was spot on, delivered with Alex’s unique blend of insight, wisdom, compassion and humour.
The food was incredible, the only thing we disagreed on was whether there is such a thing as too much cake…
Can’t wait to go back and recharge in July.” Sarah Hansford
